In an effort to have the traditional Triennial Reunion after a year of many challenges, North East High School will host the reunion at Gravel Pit Park on Aug. 7. This year will include all alumni up to and including the NEHS class of 1984.
The graduating classes of 1970, 1971 and 1972 will be recognized for their 50th anniversary. The fun will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m.
COVID-19 protocol will be followed to make this event as safe as possible. Everyone is encouraged to bring a camp chair if possible.
Pavilions C, D and G will be reserved as well as the bandstand. There will be a separate food tent, with the Brotherhood of St. Joseph providing the catering. Appetizers will be served at 6 p.m. and a buffet style dinner will follow at 7 p.m. Beer, soft drinks and water will be available throughout the evening. DJ John will provide music throughout the evening on the bandstand. The Straw Hat’s ice cream will be for dessert if available at that time.
The cost for a ticket has been lowered to $30 per person. Cash or check will be accepted. The tickets include the meal, drink and dessert.
Invitations were mailed out in March with more detailed information.
Correct addresses are needed.
Over 3,000 invitations were mailed and many are returned for bad addresses.
If an invitation to the 2018 reunion was received and the address has changed since then, or if someone is eligible to attend and wants to make sure the address is correct, contact Cathy Thompson at email@example.com or call 814-725-4015.
Reservations are required. The deadline to reserve a ticket is July 17.
