Township Tax Collector's office hours
North East Township Tax Collector Penny Luke’s office will be closed Thursday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 27, and will reopen on Monday, Oct. 28, at 9 a.m.
Turkey Shoot Dates
North East Moose Lodge post 2568 has announced its Turkey Shoot dates. Shoots will take place Oct. 20, 27 and Nov. 3, beginning at 10 a.m. Only shot guns may be used (12 GA., 16 GA. And 20 GA.). Only 14 people will be allowed on the line. Cost is $2.50 a shot. Breakfast will also be served from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on those days.
Brevillier Village will hold open interviews on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 am. to noon at Ball Pavilion.
“A Dog’s Purpose”
The family movie “A Dog’s Purpose” will be shown at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 30 Clinton St., on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. This is a soulful and surprising story of a devoted dog who finds the meaning of life through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love. There will be free snacks and refreshments. Everyone is invited!
The Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club will host its fun Gold Rush event on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., in Westfield. Chiavetta’s BBQ buffet dinner of chicken, beef on weck, and much more is from 6 to 6:45 p.m. This is a BYOB, casual event. Program, 50/50, basket raffle, and reverse draw raffle for cash prizes up to $1,000 begin at 6:45 p.m. Raffle participants must be 18 years of age, and need not be present to win. Tickets are limited to 250, and should be purchased by Oct. 14 to reserve dinners. Cost is $30 per ticket. Harborcreek Little Gridders will hold an All 3 Henry Gun Raffle on Oct. 19. Tickets are $10. Call Craig at 384-6875 for tickets.
On Oct. 20 there will be a bingo at the Harborcreek Moose Club to benefit SOS 4 KIDZ. Doors open at noon, play begins at 1 p.m. The event will feature a gift raffle, 50/50, rip off tickets and tip board. You do not need to be a Moose member to play. Brevillier Village will host a “Dementia Friends” presentation on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. and on Oct. 23 at 10:30 a.m. all presentations will be held in Brevillier Village’s Education Room.
Park United Methodist Church will hold a Soup Luncheon on Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the menu will include homemade vegetable beef soup, gelatin salad, bread, homemade dessert and beverages. Cost is $6 and take out will be available.
Free Community Dinner
A free community dinner will be held at Park United Methodist Church on Oct. 27 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Reservations with the church office are preferred but not required. To RSVP call 814-725-4105.
Celebrity Bartending Event
The Skunk & Goat Tavern has teamed up with Pattie’s Pink Warriors and will host a benefit on Oct. 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. A portion of select food sales will be donated and guest bartenders will be breast cancer survivors. Plan on a fun evening with live music by Abby and Pat Doyle, a 50/50 raffle, gifts auction and more. A drawing for a quilt and $100 worth of lottery tickets will be around 8:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended, so call 814-347-9078.

Harborcreek First Presbyterian Church, 6724 Buffalo Road, will host Trunk or Treat on Halloween — Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. Come join the fun in the church’s parking lot!

A Rummage and Bake Sale will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Park United Methodist Church. Bag Day will be Friday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon. $1 per bag!
Harbor Creek High School will host a College/Career Fair on Nov. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be held in the cafeteria and is free and open area high school students and their families. More than 90 representatives from four-year and two-year colleges, armed services, technical and trade schools, local employers and community support agencies have already registered!
Designer Handbag Bingo
The North East Lions Club’s first-annual Designer Handbag Bingo will be held Nov. 16 at the Harborcreek Fire Hall.
