Whether they are board games, action figures or arts and crafts supplies, Project Love is asking for the community to get in the Christmas spirit of giving early by donating new toys for North East children, birth to age 13, during July.
Those interested should visit the lobby of Sander’s Markets and take one or more tags from the artificial Christmas tree. Each tag identifies a child’s gender and age.
After some early holiday shopping, donations of new, unwrapped toys with their tags should be returned to the customer service desk of the Sander’s Markets or to Northern Lights Hydroponics in North East by July 30.
Since all of the donations will be distributed to local children in December, Project Love is not able to accept summer toys.
North East families who are in need of Project Love’s support are reminded that an annual application to its program will be available in September through the North East School District, the North East Area Chamber of Commerce office, or by request via email at email@example.com.
