The North East Family Fun Fest is a big, free, carnival-like event for the whole community. It’s been growing over the years with more than 1,800 people attending last year.
Family activities include jumping on several inflatables, pony rides, games, a dunking booth, a petting zoo with over 40 animals to pet and feed, relaxing hay rides, face painting and fun balloon animals.
Adults and kids always appreciate the huge free rummage “sale,” and gifts auction. Each person receives free tickets to try to win various items.
The gifts auction items will start to be drawn at 1:30 p.m. This year’s event will also include a collection of antique tractors and a cruise-in car show (first 50 cars will receive a dash plague and trophies will be awarded).
During the event, free food will be available — including hot dogs, drinks sno-cones, cotton candy and popcorn.
This event is hosted by and held at Orchard Beach Assembly, 2025 Orchard Beach Road, and sponsored by various local businesses.
All are invited to attend on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is in memory and honor of Lewie Luke, a local farmer who served faithfully in this event. Orchard Beach wants to “Love like Lewie” because he loved like Christ!
