Round up a group of friends and family for an evening of fun! The North East Lions Club is hosting a designer handbag Bingo on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Harborcreek Fire Hall. The doors will open at 4 p.m. and Bingo will begin at 6 p.m.
The Lions would appreciate the community’s support for this event, as all the proceeds from this event go right back to the community. The profits will be used to boost the Lions Club’s scholarship program, financial support for families effected by illness or loss due to tragedy, providing support for eyeglasses and vision services, supporting events for children, food for the needy in the community during the holidays, veteran causes and so much more.
In the past year, the Lions Club helped a local veteran purchase a special wheelchair, supported The Door, donated to the Grape Queen program, gave to the Christmas Boxes for the Council of Churches, brought the Erie Zoo to kids in the Summer Recreation Program, donated to the McCord Library and the North East Education Foundation.
Where there is a need, there is a Lion.
The Lions have some beautiful designer bags from top designers such as Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Coach. In addition to the bingo games, the event will feature a gifts auction, a raffle for a Vera Bradley set (which includes a wheeled suitcase), 50/50, tip boards and more.
There is a full kitchen with food offerings, although guests can bring snacks with them. Beer and wine will be available for a donation, and no outside alcohol will be permitted.
Nonalcoholic beverages may be brought in but will also be available for purchase at the event. All attendees must be at least 18 years old.
This event will be an evening of fun and games. In the case of more than one Bingo during a game, there will be “consolation” prizes for whoever does not get the handbag.
Those with questions should contact Kathy at 814-881-3318, or Heather at 716-753-0598.
Tickets are $25 and will be increased to $35 after Nov. 2. Tickets can be purchased at the North East branch of Northwest Savings Bank, 35 East Main St.; Studio Line Salon, 75 S. Pearl St; or the North East Area Chamber of Commerce, 44 W. Main St.
Tickets can also be purchased from any member of the North East Lions Club. Groups of six or more will get reserved space at the tables.
