The Pickers came back with a solid win over the Corry Beavers on Monday, Jan. 6, at home, with the girls’ team defeating Corry 109 to 62 and the boys team winning 89 to 79.
Placing in the top three in girls’ individual events were: Lily Bement (first in 500 free and 100 breast), Olivia Burke (third in 100 fly), Elizabeth Currier (first in 50 free and 100 free), Lauren Cass (third in 50 free), Abby Frazzini (fourth in 100 breast) Stephanie Gates (second in 200 IM, third in 100 back), Paige Grice (third in 200 IM), Rachel Gruber (second in 100 back) Allyson Lutz (third in 200 free and 500 free), Frances Schoenfeldt (second in 200 free and 100 free), Anna Sveda (first in 200 IM, second in 100 fly).
The girls 200 free A relay (Cass, Bement, Schoenfeldt, Currier) took first place with a 2:05:59 and the B relay (Gates, Lutz, Grice, A. Sveda) took second with a 2:16:84. The 400 free relay (Burek, K. Sveda, Gruber, Gates) and the 200 medley relay (Cass, Currier, A. Sveda, Schoenfeldt) took second place.
Tops scores in the boys individual events included: Cody Burch (second in 100 free, third in 100 breast), Grant Girts (second in 50 free, third in 100 fly), Jackson Currier (second in 500 free), Mason Currier (second in 200 IM,), Connor Haggerty (third in 50 free), Evan Kemp (first in 100 fly, 100 back), Collin Lawry (third in 200 free, second in 100 breast), Skylar Theis-Green (first in 100 breast).
The boys 200 A medley relay team (Kemp, M. Currier, Girts, Burch) started the night off with an exciting first-place finish over the Beavers with a 1:51.78. The B medley team (Haggerty, Lawry, J. Currier, Bartlett) took third. The 200 free A relay (Haggerty, Theis-Green, J. Currier, M. Currier) took first place and the B relay (Roth, Townsend, Fox, Bartlett) took third. The boys 400 free relay (Girts, Lawry, Burch, Kemp) took second.
Watts, again, won the diving competition with an impressive 185.75 points. Sank took fourth place with a 129.95.
