Due to an impending timber operation on State Game Lands #109, the public shooting range there will be closed.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced that the public shooting range that it operates on State Game Lands #109 will be closed until further notice.
The range, which had been closed due to a State Police Investigation into a shooting that occurred there will need to remain closed for an unrelated reason.
As part of a commercial timber operation on block #1 behind the shooting range, the range will be closed for the safety of the timber operation workers.
The Game Commission anticipates that the commercial timber activity will be concluded by the end of March 2021. Further notice will be given once able to confirm reopening of the range.
The Game Commission would like to thank the public for their patience and refer any questions or comments to the Northwest Regional Office at 814-432-3187.
