On May 10, 17-year-old Lillian “Lilly” Frye was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma in her chest. Since then, Frye has been undergoing chemotherapy at the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh three times a week.
This year the Veterans of Foreign Wars and organizers of the Amy’s Ride Dice Run will be raising money in Frye’s honor.
The annual ride is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. at the VFW Post 4789, 28 Vine St. Cost is $15 per person and all vehicles are welcome.
The last bike out will leave at 1 p.m.
Dice run participants will also visit Chippers, in Erie; Kim’s Townhouse, in Union City; Ashley’s, in Spartansburg; and the Eagle’s Nest, in Wattsburg.
Everyone will head back to the VFW for food, a gifts auction and music by Steppin’ Pappy.
Those who cannot attend the full dice run but would like to join in the afterparty at the VFW may do so. Cost is $10 at the door and it begins at 4 p.m.
Other monetary donations may be mailed to the Fryes at P.O. Box 6, North East PA 16428.
