Lifelong resident, Aaron Jelley, 41, has announced his candidacy for North East Township supervisor. Jelley is running as a Republican.
Jelley is a 1998 graduate of North East High School and has a degree in criminal justice from Mercyhurst University. He is an entrepreneur who has owned and operated North Coast Construction since 2000.
“I am running for supervisor because I believe in North East as a community and want to help contribute my expertise and experience, working to help shape the future of North East Township to provide the infrastructure, resources and services residents will need for generations to come,” Jelley said. “I am deeply passionate about our township and know that I can make a long-lasting contribution.”
Jelley is also a volunteer at Fuller Hose Fire Co. since 2011.
“I have pursued a variety of training with a multitude of certifications for the fire department,” Jelley said. “I have strived to work with my fellow firefighters as a team, so that we may be as prepared as possible to save lives and protect the property in North East and our surrounding communities.”
Jelley’s goal as supervisor is to bring his team building skills to the board of supervisors, working toward positive outcomes for the residents of North East Township.
“I am at a point in my life where I want to give back even more to this community that provided so much for me and my family for me for so many years,” Jelley said. “I want to have a helping hand in the challenges and opportunities ahead of us as a township, moving forward with an open mind, overcoming obstacles and pursuing intelligent, well-planned growth for North East Township, while preserving, at all times, the core essence of this amazing community that we have all embraced and call our home.”
