Readers of all ages should head over to McCord Memorial Library this summer for the library’s summer reading program.
This year’s theme is “Universe of Stories.”
Children from birth to fourth grade can check out books to receive weekly prizes. Special programs for this age group will be held weekly on Thursdays from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. after Picnic in the Park.
The Tweens and Teens program is open to children in grades five through 12. These readers can also check out books weekly to receive prizes. Participants should also fill out a captain’s log page weekly to enter into a special drawing. Weekly events for this age group will be held on Thursdays from 2 to 3 p.m.
Adult readers can also join in the fun of summer reading. Community members can fill out a Tic Tac Toe board weekly to enter into a drawing. There will also be special programs on select evenings.
