Project Love, Inc., a North East 501(c)(3), is in immediate need of a space to continue its mission of providing boxes of toys and gifts for local children of families in need of support. Throughout the year, Project Love accepts donations and purchases items so that hundreds of North East children of the ages birth to 13 years may receive them in December or when an emergency arises.
Recently this organization needed to move all of its supplies into a storage pod from its Northern Lights Hydroponics temporary headquarters, which was graciously provided rent-free for the past year by Kim Daugherty.
The ideal new site for Project Love would be located in North East, at least 700 square feet in size, though 1,000 square feet is preferred, and not require many steps to access it. The site should be heated, dry and include a bathroom. In order for Project Love to not withdraw funds from its budget for providing toys and gifts to local children, the space would need to be free or require very minimal rent. Project Love maintains its own insurance throughout the year.
“If we do not have a new home by the end of October, I would hate to see Project Love not be able to assist North East families this year,” said Tamme Erb, Project Love co-director. “Without a place to organize our toys and gifts, complete necessary paperwork, pack boxes of items and hold a distribution day to give families their boxes of gifts, we cannot be as successful as we have been in the past. Please help us find a new home so that we can continue to bring smiles to children’s faces on Christmas morning!”
Any business, church, organization or individual who is able to help Project Love with its endeavor of finding a new site is asked to please call Tamme Erb at 814-572-5436 or send an email to projectloveinc.nepa@gmail.com.
