How do families, who may have just lost everything, in a fire other situation, survive the first few days after a disaster? So often the North East community steps up to give them shelter, clothes, food and other items to help them in their time of need.
The North East Community Food Pantry is one part of the community that is ready to respond to the needs of those who find themselves in this position. The food pantry reaches out and helps them with donations received from the North East community.
To help the food pantry, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of North East, along with the North East Lions Club and Knights of Columbus of St. Gregory Church, are working together during the Cherry Fest parade to collect food, toiletries and monetary donations. The Scouts, Lions and Knights will collect donations as they make their way through the parade route.
Come support our fire departments and those in need while enjoying a great parade, which will be held on Saturday, July 13.
