After several years absent, the tradition of Champagne Brunch returns once again to the 38th Annual WineFest. Planned for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, the brunch has all the best of the original event with a few new details — such as catering by a hometown favorite, The Skunk & Goat Tavern.
The outdoor, tented brunch will be served on Park Street, near Main Street, just before festival admissions open on Saturday. A sit-down, three-course, plated brunch served by the staff at the Skunk & Goat Tavern will be paired with local sparkling wines for the ultimate start to the day.
In addition to a wonderful meal, speakers will also be on hand to walk diners through the wine and food pairings of the morning. These include: Corporate Executive Chef Kristian Young, Red Letter Hospitality; Beverage Director Blaine Ballard, Skunk & Goat Tavern; and a winery speaker to be determined.
“We are very excited to collaborate with the North East Chamber of Commerce to host the Champagne Brunch this year,” said Annē Lewis, director of marketing for Red Letter Hospitality and the Skunk & Goat Tavern. “It is such a fantastic weekend for our community, and we cannot wait to provide an amazing culinary experience for those who join!”
This event is limited to 100 tickets. Tickets are $50 each and include the 3-course brunch paired with local sparkling wines and non-alcoholic beverages.
Tickets are available at the North East Chamber of Commerce office, 44 W Main St., or online at www.nechamber.org.
The Champagne Brunch returns to WineFest thanks to presenting sponsor, Widget Financial, and is orchestrated by Christina Davis, general manager of The Skunk & Goat Tavern, in partnership with the North East Area Chamber of Commerce.
The full menu and complete list of speakers will be announced on the NEACC website as the event approaches.
