The Skunk & Goat Tavern was proud to present the proceeds from the Miller Mistletoe Mile to The Door Inc., a local nonprofit that serves at risk youth in the community with food, fellowship and faith.
“The Door is extremely grateful to The Skunk & Goat as well as the huge support from the community by its participation in this event,” Bill Bennet from The Door Inc. said. “This money will go far in helping us do what we can to restore hope to teens in North East.”
The Dec. 22 event included 350 participants and raised $6,236.58.
Cody Cornell finished with the top score of 4:49.
“Many thanks to the fire department for the escort, Jeremy Jaeger of Division Street Machine for his time and music after the race, Great Lakes Insurance for the T-shirts and all the businesses and community members who supported the event,” Anne Lewis of Skunk & Goat Tavern said.
“We are open weekly Tuesday through Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.,” Bennet said. “Currently we are operating out of First Baptist Church. The money from this event is going to be used to help finish an ongoing renovation project at our future location at 77 Robinson St.”
“We are excited to see that project get closer to completion so that we have a permanent facility that maximizes our efforts to invite kids into positive long-term relationships.”
