There are now two Project Love Giving Trees, one located in Serendipity Consignment Boutique at 3 W. Main St., and a second in the lobby of Sander’s Markets at 109 W. Main St. in North East.
Both trees are decorated with tags that represent local children. Each tag has a child’s age and some wish list ideas for gifts.
Anyone can help the North East children, from birth to 13 years old to have a brighter Christmas by taking a tag or two and donating some new, unopened, unwrapped gifts.
Those who take tags from the tree at Serendipity will receive a 10% discount on any purchase in the store.
Gifts with their tags should be returned by Sunday, Dec. 6, to either Serendipity or the customer service desk at Sander’s Markets.
North East parents who have requested Project Love’s assistance this year will be able to pick up their children’s boxes of gifts on Sunday, Dec. 13, at Project Love, 10093 W. Main Road in North East. This will be a drive-thru distribution.
The pandemic has not prevented Project Love, a local nonprofit organization, from trying to provide help to local families and children and give them a merrier Christmas.
Project Love greatly appreciates the support of Serendipity, Sander’s Markets and all those in the community during its 2020 campaign who are offering donations of funds, toys and gifts.
