One way to avoid cabin fever at this time of year is to think spring. Another is to plan to attend Project Love’s, Outdoor Adventure annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 28, from 6 to 10 p.m., indoors at the American Legion Lakeshore Post 105, 17 S. Mill St. in North East.
Event net proceeds will help to fund this nonprofit organization’s mission of providing Christmas gifts to children, from birth to 13 years, of North East families who are experiencing hardships.
This outdoor themed, casual and fun evening for adults includes food, cash bar, DJ music, basket raffle and games of chance.
Each ticket purchased includes a chance to win the grand prize package of a new, one-person kayak with paddle and assorted outdoor gear, with a total value of $700.
The lucky ticket holder does not need to be present to win the grand prize.
Tickets are now on sale for this charity event.
Presale tickets are $10 each, and they are available for purchase at the North East Area Chamber of Commerce, the Rusty Wheel restaurant, from any Project Love board member, or by contacting Sharon Wagner at firstname.lastname@example.org or 814-881-2569.
Each ticket includes entrance into the event, dinner and a chance to win the grand prize.
Tickets at the door will be $12 each. Tables of five or more may be reserved.
Dinner includes ox roast or ham barbecue sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, pasta salad, baked beans, cole slaw, assorted fresh vegetables and fruits, cookies and a special treat.
Free beverages include coffee, soft drinks and water.
A signature drink called “River Water” and other bar beverages will be available for purchase.
