Local advertising agency Gray Matter Media Inc. announced the release of a new health and wellness book through its recently formed publishing division. The book “Rebuilding Your Temple” is authored by health coach and North East native, Stacy Malesiewski (penname Stacy Mal).
While this is her fifth published book, it is her first health-related title, focusing primarily on how to make better food choices.
“There are tons of diet books out there,” Malesiewski said. “There are books on the keto diet, vegan diet, protein diet and so many others. But ‘Rebuilding Your Temple’ is a guidebook that helps people discern which plan is right for them. There is no one-size-fits-all diet that works for everyone. We all have different ages, genders, preexisting conditions, genetics and lifestyles. So, we all have different nutritional needs, too.”
According to Malesiewski, “Rebuilding Your Temple” encourages readers to listen to their bodies, read food labels and work with their doctor. She describes the book as the “blueprints” for rebuilding health.
“You’re the builder of your own health,” she said. “But your doctor must serve as the general contractor, approving and overseeing your renovation process.”
“Rebuilding Your Temple” is a unique strategy as it takes readers through each bodily system, chapter by chapter, phase by phase.
“This is important,” Malesiewski said. “Sometimes people focus solely on one area. They might start eating to balance blood sugars but fail to get the nutrients needed for brain health, gut health, or immunity. ‘Rebuilding Your Temple’ is a whole-body approach.”
To better streamline the process, Gray Matter Media also plans to release the “Rebuilding Your Temple” Workbook where readers can journal their thoughts, write down shopping notes and record questions they want to bring up with their doctor.
“The workbook also has an optional Bible study correlating with every chapter,” Malesiewski adds. “It can be used individually or as a group study.”
In early 2020 Gray Matter Media also plans to make this available to younger readers through a children’s series called “Rebuilding Little Temples.” Each book in the series will focus on a different topic that helps teach kids how to make healthy diet and lifestyle choices.
“Rebuilding Your Temple” is currently available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle format.
