After six long weeks of being closed to the public, Arne Lindquist, owner of Lindquist Jewelers, is more than ready to have his doors open to the public again.
“These last six weeks were a struggle for my businesses, but most of all, it made me realize I am not ready to retire from my passion,” Lindquist said.
Lindquist Jewelers has recently moved to 3210 Buffalo Road, Erie, Pa., and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
“I am following the COVID-19 precautions, wearing my mask around customers, and making sure we are all following social distancing,” Lindquist said.
Lindquist Jewelers offers retail jewelry, watches and repairs on all brands of jewelry and watches. Lindquist has 50 years of experience in watch making and 35 years in retail.
“I am proud to say my shop offers a niche trade for my community and I can provide a service I enjoy doing that makes other people happy as well,” Lindquist said.
This has been an unprecedented time for all business owners, but Lindquist stays positive with high hopes for the future.
“After closing my shop down, we are finally reopened. I have noticed I am not as busy as usual,” Lindquist said. “Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, people are staying home and it has been a hardship, not just for my business, but for all of the non-essential businesses. I hope to see that change as time goes on.
“I am unsure how to move forward as regulations change, but my doors are open to all. I can’t wait to see more faces walking through that door.”
