Klenz Brothers Diesel has been strictly a diesel business since it opened in 2017. After listening to their customers, Hunter Klenz, owner of Klenz Brothers Diesel, decided it was time to make a change.
“Recently, we have been asked by our diesel customers to work on their other vehicles, and we thought it couldn’t hurt to help them out, but once that word got out, we were just overcome by work and I am surprised by everyone’s interest and excitement over it,” Hunter Klenz said.
Due to the influx of more vehicles and now new customers, Klenz Brothers Diesel also had to expand its workforce. Shiloh Swabik has been hired as a new mechanic to help offset the newly increasing workload.
All of the mechanics in the shop are trained and certified for both diesel and gas vehicles.
“After hiring Swabik I am able to continue working on diesels. It is my passion and has been since I can remember,” Klenz said. “But we all work together when needed and it has been great since we decided to open up to all makes and models in December.”
“There is not much we can’t do but we will be honest and tell you if we can’t do something,” Klenz added.
Klenz grew up on a farm and was around many types of vehicles and farming equipment that his grandfather allowed him to work on, increasing his knowledge and experience in mechanics.
“I grew up messing with everything in the barn and once I turned 16, I bought my first truck and that was it,” Klenz said. “I started to figure out what I could do to make it better or what was wrong with it and of course making it go faster.”
“Eventually my grandpa allowed me to use his barn to work on trucks that friends and family members would bring me and I would work on them every night after school,” Klenz added. “After graduation I enrolled in a course in Buffalo, N.Y., for master mechanic, but I was so busy with all the work I had at home that I have decided to take time off from schooling and really focus on my business.”
Aaron Knight offered to work with Klenz and give him the opportunity to get his business going.
“I looked around and after finding a place to rent I decided this was my chance to grow my passion into reality and started a Klenz Brothers Diesel in October of 2017,” Klenz said.
Klenz Brothers Diesel does inspections, tires, brakes, any engine work for gas or diesel, fluid film, oil changes and A/C repair.
