Borough Council held a virtual second monthly meeting on July 20, at 7 p.m.
After the pledge of allegiance council opened the meeting with public comments. There were no comments received.
There was no unfinished business to attend.
Under new business, Council agreed unanimously to move forward with the Eastwood Pump Station Elimination Project. The elimination of this pump station will greatly decrease the amount of traffic in this area.
Resolution No. 07202020-1, Allocation of Funds from Kreft Fund to Purchase 2020 Volvo Garbage Truck with 30 Yard Pak Mor Body was approved unanimously.
Resolution No. 07202020-2, Allocation of Funds from Kreft Fund to Purchas Telecommunication Devices and Equipment for the North East Fire Department was also approved unanimously.
The two requests for Gibson Park were approved unanimously contingent on guidelines set by the state and health department.
The events approved are hosted the LakeView Mennonite Church and the Park United Methodist Church.
The last order of new business was the request for Heard Park for the North East Little Gridders. This was approved unanimously and also contingent on guidelines set by the state and health department. There will also no longer be concessions sold during Little Gridders.
