The 4 NINE Thrift Store board of directors has worked diligently with the Erie County Health Department to provide a safe experience for our volunteers, shoppers and supporters.
4 NINE will begin accepting donations on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Due to limited space, we ask that large pieces of furniture be held until the official open on June 1.
Donations have to be held for 24 hours before being processed, please do not expect to “Shop the Dock.” It will not be permitted.
When the dock is full, please hold your donations, do not leave them on the ground.
The store will open to the public the usual hours beginning Monday, June 1.
Admission will be monitored and shoppers will be let in gradually until 25 are in the store. Please focus your shopping, only spend the time needed in the store and visit once per day to allow for as many people as possible to access the store.
This will be in effect until the Green Phase is announced.
Hand sanitizer will be available and disinfectant sprays will be used on shopping baskets, counters, cash registers and doors. Masks are required, this is not negotiable.
If you can’t wear a mask, you will have to wait until they are no longer required. Our volunteers are all in a vulnerable age group for this virus and we will not allow them to be endangered.
Cashiers will wear either a face mask or a face shield, volunteers will wear masks. There will be a plexiglass barrier at the registers, directional arrows on the floor, and space markings for waiting at the register.
There will be no fitting room available.
Procedures will be evaluated for effectiveness and updated as needed.
Please help us maintain this valuable community resource as a shopping venue and donation service by following the guidelines.
